Elmsford, New York – March 2, 2010 – New York document management solutions provider Digiscribe is assisting the efforts of Metropolitan Maltese Rescue (MetroMalts) with pro bono document management services.
Ten years of records pertaining to intakes, foster care placements, adoptions and veterinarian services were scanned and indexed to improve records security and access for the organization. The document scanning services donated by Digiscribe have also freed office space for the growing non-profit by eliminating the need for physical records storage.
By embedding PaperVision Enterprise Viewer directly into the CD of scanned and indexed records, Digiscribe facilitated easy access to the stored digital images, saving MetroMalts the expense of purchasing document management software.
“We’re pleased to support the efforts of an organization that has done so much in the area of animal rescue for the New York Metropolitan area” commented Mitch Taube, Digiscribe CEO.
Metropolitan Maltese Rescue is an all-volunteer organization founded in 1998 by a group of Maltese dog lovers in New York City. MetroMalts volunteers work to foster and place Maltese found as strays, surrendered by their owners, or rescued from shelters.
“I can’t tell you what a great gift this is for us. The access and security are wonderful.” said Joan Garvin, President of Metropolitan Maltese Rescue.
